Our Sisters demonstrate our strong pro-life stance by participating in pro-life activities such as "right to life" marches. On evenings of executions in Texas, you are invited to . *If you plan to join us, please call and check on the time because some days, our schedule is altered. |
The Sisters at Incarnate Word Convent often have "parties" when there is a big task awaiting them. Here you see the Sisters shucking and cleaning fresh corn. It's amazing how much can be accomplished when we work together.
It's even more fun eating all that fresh corn. Yum-m-m!
On the walls of Nazareth Convent and Incarnate Word Convent there are many priceless paintings and other forms of art displayed. These pieces of art were mainly the fruits of our early Sisters. On April 4-8 and April 11-15 the Victoria Art League invited the Sisters to exhibit some of these extraordinary pieces of art which help to tell their story over these last 150 years. On April 6th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. a special evening reception was hosted with the Sisters as we featured in addition to the art work, rare artifacts and relics from the convent collection as we presented the story of our tremendous journey from France to Texas to honor our 150th anniversary. There was a large turn-out for this occasion.
Each evening between May 6th and May 29th, the Field of Honor is being made available for church groups and different organizations to provide prayer services to pray for our Wounded Warriors, their families and caregivers who will be in attendance at Warrior’s Weeken. We, the Sisters and Associates of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament provided a rosary service to pay tribute to our Veterans from 8:00-8:45 pm, and closing with “Taps” at 9:00 pm.
